Opening the Schedule Scan dialog requires scanning directoriesto be selected. This is obviously a bad design decision since a user might just want to inspect scheduled scans and not schedule a new one.

Yes! I had spotted the same problem.
Adding a dirctory widget to the dialog would be great, because the user could schedule more than one scan from the same dialog without having to exit to select a different folder.
