Basic information

  • TDE version: R14.1.x
  • Distribution: FreeBSD 13.2-RELEASE amd64
  • Hardware: amd64

Description

When I try to compile TDE in FreeBSD 13.2, after some point the libkexiv2 error appears. I tried to compile TDE on FreeBSD multiple times with multiple devices (including virtual machine) but I cannot find any solution about it.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install FreeBSD 13.2-RELEASE amd64
  2. Follow https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/FreeBSD_Trinity_Installation_Instructions#Spread_ports_from_GIT_folder_to_.2Fusr.2Fports including all prerequisites (ports update, pkg manager configuration, packages to install)

I suppose this will be related to exiv2 0.28.x ‒ TDE/libkexiv2#3.

Looks like a duplicate of the mentioned issue, same error message. I suggest we mark this issue as duplicate and close it, keeping only TDE/libkexiv2#3 to track the issue. What do you think @SlavekB?

Because I use a quarterly updates, I did not observe a problem on my test machine with FreeBSD. However, it is clear that the cause is the same – update for exiv2 0.28.x. So yes, we can close this as a duplicate.

@tulubey we have fixed the problem in libkexiv2 (see TDE/libkexiv2#4).
Can you confirm you can now build it successfully with the latest source code?
I am closing this issue being a duplicate of the original TDE/libexiv2#3.
