Description

Notification there are program updates. Accept updates and run the automatic updates manager. Upon completion, the TDE Crash Handler generates the error, "updatemgr.exu crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)"

Steps to reproduce

  1. Accept program updates
  2. Update Manager executes.
  3. TDE Crash Handler generates the error, "updatemgr.exu crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)"

can you explain more about what updatemgr.exu is?
Also can you provide more info about the steps to reproduce? The steps you listed are very unclear to me, in first place because there is no Update Manager in TDE.
I wonder if that is part of Q4OS and whether this report would be better be reported against Q4OS first...

Hello,

Sorry -- I'm very new to Linux! The TDECrash handler suggested I report the error, so I went to the URL provided and reported as best I could.

On the Desktop of Q4OS, I get an alert whenever there are updates available. I assume that updatemgr.exu is the result of accepting the updates. I click the alert and see a list of updates, and then click to Accept them. At the conclusion of the update process is when I got the error.

Since there is no Update Manager in TDE, you are probably correct that I should report this to Q4OS.
