[openSUSE][TW] Unable to Install Trinity Desktop. #63

Basic information

  • TDE version: R14.0.10
  • Distribution: openSUSE Tumbleweed
  • Hardware: amd64

Description

As of openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210810-0. Attempt to install trinity-desktop on zypper result dependency error.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Configure packman repository.
  2. Import trinity gpg keys.
rpm --import http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/rpm/osstw/RPM-GPG-KEY-trinity
  1. Configure trinity osstw repository.
zypper ar http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/rpm/osstw/trinity-r14/RPMS/x86_64 trinity
zypper ar http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/rpm/osstw/trinity-r14/RPMS/noarch trinity-noarch
  1. Install trinity via zypper in trinity-desktop and produce the following dependency error:
Loading repository data...
Reading installed packages...
Resolving package dependencies...

Problem: nothing provides 'libpoppler.so.109()(64bit)' needed by the to be installed trinity-libpoppler-tqt-14.0.10-1.osstw.x86_64
 Solution 1: do not install trinity-desktop-14.0.10-1.osstw.noarch
 Solution 2: break trinity-libpoppler-tqt-14.0.10-1.osstw.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/c/d/?] (c):

It seems that poppler has been updated to again an incompatible API version, which requires rebuild tdegraphics, koffice and tellico. Because the RPM package maintainer is @Francois, I assign this issue to him.
