In PR #72, the Information submenu for device information in the TCC was renamed. Now it needs new translations. This summary issue should be used to keep track of that progress.

I don't think we need to keep track of which translation is done or not. We already have weblate to help with translations, translators will naturally add their contributions there. I see it a bit pointless to keep track of that here: not only this list is likely to be outdated sooner or later but also it requires effort that could be better used for other things. Following the same logic, we would need an issue for any string not translated in all languages...

IMO, we could close this issue.

One thing to note here: At the moment desktop files are not possible to translate in Weblate, nor translators have any other chance to know they need translation. Therefore I opened the issue. But might be right that this will never be complete in next years, to be realistic. But there is no other way to keep track of that otherwise.

Good point on dekstop files not being available on weblate yet, my bad. But again it seems a bit of wasted effort since otherwise we would have to do this for all desktop files... Some time ago I discussed with Slavek and at some point we may add the content of desktop file to weblate too.

Anyhow, I am not against this issue, just it seems not so efficient to maintain it and does not really add much value IMO.

I understand that Chris wanted to provide translations for all the languages that were available here before, so he wanted to keep track of what was already done.

However, at the moment we do not have enough translators into all the languages listed, so this task cannot be completed in a reasonable time. At the same time, there is a plan to allow translating desktop files using Weblate, so this task does not need to be maintained here.

Right, so about that reasonable time there is consent. Because desktop files not offer some "fuzzy" comment, there is no way for translators to get what translations are wrong, also if desktop file translation over Weblate will be working. So my suggestion here would be to remove outdated and changed desktop file translations every time completely, so at least translations will notice it is missing. Sounds that like a plan, Slavek?

Once update through weblate is operational, the strings in desktop files will be offered for translations as any other strings. People can check them and eventually updated them, regardless of whether they are fuzzy or not.

Once the strings for desktop files are managed using Weblate, there will be a normal fuzzy way, because in fact there will be po files for each language, from which desktop files containing translations will be generated.
