As talked in IRC with Vitaly (vita_cell), it seems the compton-tde settings dialog (transparency) is lacking some options, as well as some input field for giving default command line arguments, like it is possible for TWin too.
After a lot of discussion in IRC he pointed me to some example, how that could look like:
So it seems compton-tde (forked from original compton) offers more settings than they are configurable at the moment, what you see here:
Without a easy way to configure that, it is not easy for TDE users to setup compton-tde, it seems.

By investigating that, he pointed out, that there is some very handy option, which might be also the default option for compton-tde, which makes sense for me:
If that is not set, games and any full screen 3D application will have performance problems more or less, or other glitches. At the moment it seems this option is neither default, nor is it configurable in any way for users over the GUI.
