To test, open Konqueror, select pdf file. Depending on settings, it would crash immediately (if display file tips on) or when right-clicking and selecting Properties.
With the patch, no more crashes and the file tip or the meta-tab in the properties page displays meaningful info.
The patch looks good and clean. Building on all currently supported Debian / Ubuntu versions is successful.
Merged and pushed upstream.
