TDE version: R14.1.0 dev

Description

New fixed hard disk not shown on Konqueror storage media or on desktop until it is formatted.

Note that if the disk is dm-plain encrypted, it is perfectably useful when mounted from CLI but don't shown on storage media.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install TDE on a VM
  2. Create brand new disk, without formatting it
  3. Disk is not shown in Konqueror storage media or on the desktop (other disks are visible)
  4. create partition on disk or setup disk with luks encryption and the disk will become visible

After comparing with other distros and DE, it seems this issue is basically invalid. Behavior of other systems is the same.

The issue will be closed. One day we may revisit this functionality if there is a graphical tool to format and partition a raw disk. In that case it may make sense to list it in Storage Media, then the user would be able to do something on a raw disk from it.
