I don't use kmail daily. Since this change affects the send engine, it would be better is someone using kmail on a regular basis did a test before we proceed with merging it.

I'm using KMail every day. Today I built KMail with patch from this PR and I sent the mails without any problems. However, I did not test forwarding as described in #54.

Forward and redirect worked fine here, when I tested. In particular I replicated the problem as per #54 and this PR solves that.
