Currently only shortcut for specific layouts can be set.
Adding one to cycle thorugh layouts would be a useful addition.

Is kkbswitch still relevant after the latest Kxkb enhancements? AFAIK it was a workaround for bug 100 which has been resolved.

kkbswitch is probably not needed anymore after the latest updates on kxkb, but there may be users who are used to it, so there is no harm in keep providing it.
The enhancement request comes from the discussion about the current lack of TDE shortcut ability in kxkb (TDE/tdebase#342). If we had the shortcut to cycle through layouts, that would have been an easy workaround for the time being.
