This issue is intended as a meta issue for tracking problems related to bug 2273.

Individual problems will be described in other issues and add as dependency to this one.

Depends on following issues:

Overview or additional required changes:

  • code individual device operation in tdestoragedevice (mount, unmount, lock, unlock) based on udisks2 dbus calls
  • udisks has been replaced by udisks2 and not available in many distros, so no support for udisks will be added
  • udevil does not support unlock/lock operations (only mount/unmount) so it is not possible to add support for unlocking /locking with udevil
  • consider adding support for pmount
  • add HAL-based support if possible (support is partial due to limitations in HAL) HAL support in TDE will be removed in R14.1.0.
  • polkit GUI authentication agent to allow normal user to authenticate to perform some of the actions
  • bug fixes from TODO list
